how should i say this?
I know i may not have the right to say anything, but as an outsider (staff spouse), i may say this: the Family Day is fab for kids and those who participate in the agenda. For people like us who has small kids, sensitive to extra sunshine, or malas, it was not an entertaining event to attend. Every year, i would insist to attend my hubby's family day and by far, this year's is the most boring one.
Looking for the place is not hard for us since we're quite familiar with Putrajaya area (PJH is based in Precinct 2 anyway) and the place is within the Wetland vicinity. Morning breakfast was provided but you must have coupons. What's with the coupons? people do take the food anyway. More than the coupons allowed. Why? abundant of food for breakfast. Each family will also got coupons for the sand art thingy. We gave ours to people.
I wouldnt know if they serve lunch as by 10.30am, we were already on our way home. Sadis kan. I kept thinking, what went wrong? yeah , maybe we didn't participate in any of the event but come on, i saw more than 10 families went home after the breakfast and after the lompat2 session on those inflattable giants. maybe the place was too huge. maybe it wasn't my business. My company's family? was held in Mines wonderland, small area and not tiring to walkabout and we had things to visit after the family day event ended. It may not be fair to compare since PJH is a big company with 500+ staffs.
hmm..let's move on. Things that i like?
The drummers (i dunno the official name) were japanese and they came here just to support the Japanese food fair in Sunway pyramid. As i really love to ketuk2 things, i felt like wanted to go up to them, grab the stick and ketuk2 away. haaa..
The traditional dancers performed also in Sunway pyramid in conjunction with BASF Photography contest. I don't know what's the name of the dance but all i know, i like it!!

what a day
I spent literally the whole day looking for ways to uninstall my AVG in my laptop. Ehem, i did my work okay and i even helped (a bit) the service team to remove Graphite Packing from Posi-Seal 14" A11 Valve body. Hands-on rocks!!!
Okay, i'm not that dumb to not to know how to uninstall a programme but apparently, AVG 8.0 won't uninstall itself thoroughly during uninstallation.
How did i find out? I tried and tried and tried to install Kaspersky trial version and i didn't work. Why? Some components or AVG 8 is still available somewhere in my laptop. It wont proceed with installation until all AVG related files are removed and uninstalled. Damn!! Okay, now, Google search engine did a wonderful work of finding, well, lots of people with the same problem. So, it went like this:
By sequence, this was what i did today:
1. Downloaded CCleaner - Managed to clean up my laptop but did nothing on the AVG thingy.
2. Downloaded Revo Uninstaller - What's this? It's fun though. It got Hunter Mode or Drag & Drop mode. Just point the Hunter mode to the program one wishes to be removed and there will be pull down menu. But, fails miserably on the AVG removal.
3. Downloaded Hijack This - urgghhh...when can i get my AVG removed? By now, i was so annoyed by these toys.
4. Search by "How to remove AVG" phrase and these are the the results:
a. There's a forum on this and the AVG8.ZIP is to be downloaded and extracted accordingly. But the KLeaner don't work or maybe as mentioned by one of the forumer, it may seem as though it does not work but it is. well, i couldn't wait. So, i ended the process in the task manager itself, just to be sure.
b. This is from AVG itself and there's a remover tool available. Not tried so, no comment.
c. Another Kaspersky forum on the removal. It seems ok and manual but..the explanantion suits people who know what regedit is and does. So many registry put here and i got scared!!
d. somewhere, i also saw somewhere suggestions and effort by people who actually re-install AVG 8 and try to uninstall it. Bygones.
Then, i reached home. At one last effort, (i was gonna cont with AVG if i don't get any positive this time), i managed to find My Digital Life and a very clear explanantion c/w direction on how to go about uninstalling and deleting AVG related files. Here. I also deleted the AVG8.ZIP file (KLeaner.exe) on my desktop downloaded earlier.
Voila!!! I could actually run Kaspersky and i am about to restart my laptop.
ahhhhh...what a day...

Diet Part 1
The first week was not really a diet week since i did take full course meal with dinner. No major changes in my meal plans.
The second week saw me halved my rice and very little dinner here and there. I figured, that can keep me from gaining anymore weight but i will not lose any kilos.
This week, i did some lunch, sometimes with rice, sometimes heavy breakfast but no lunch, but definitely no rice at all for dinner. Yesterday was saturday and i did indulge in full-plate rice with sambal udang (hey, i cooked one you know) and onion tosai for dinner.
Today, maggi for lunch with 2 tbsp of rice and few cikadees here and there (got guests coming over).
All i lost is 1 kg. I was on the verge of giving up last hour but, hey, cheering up myself is not an easy feat to do. My diet was really on the 3rd week only and i already lost 1kg. If i continue, i may lose some more. Even my tosai last night was only consumed in half. Maybe i've shrunken my tummy a lil bit. I do notice i can't really down a lot these days. I am also hoping that the feeling i got yesterday lingers longer as i did slip in my fave jeans yesterday with ease. (or maybe was it because the jeans is over worn?)
Let's give it another week or two.

melayaan perasaan pukul 6ptg
January 18th 2009, Transwater Annual Dinner. Venue is still a big mystery for most but i already know!!!! yay, it's gonna be my first-time there, and sure gonna be exciting. Now, what's more exciting, the venue or the dinner? i think it will be the venue. ;-)
The theme is not disclosed yet but i plan to wear sumthing traditional like..kadazaundusun attire. The black velvet sumazau attire one. Nice, huh? A facebook acquaintance seems to be renting out these and let's see how it goes later.
well, while browsing through Damar Suria's site for March 28th 2009 SMSS Batch of 94 reunion, i came across a cute looking island KONET ISLAND. Yes, it sounds cute, funny and errr, terrible - mcm mencarut kan? kan ? kan? -Apparently, it's a haven for fishing activity and recreational in Teluk Gong, Malacca. Some even say it's a Bunian Island. One thing for sure, walk in the white sandy beach, savour the beauty, appreciate the sight of the cemetary (Hindu), errkkk...waaaaa....but do not forget that the beting/beteng/pasir that connects the pulau to the mainland will disappear fast late in the evening. If that happens, call for Coastguards, TUDM, local fisherman or swim. Or overnight there. hmm...who has tried that? anyway, the island is now suffers bad corrosion and sampah sarap berkeliaran. eh...berselerakan.
who's fault? ours!!!

Today is Monday
Today is monday, and i shouldn't be wearing this white 3-inch heels of mine. Hectic as usual and today is no exception with plant shutdowns are everywhere. Late delivery, wrong items which costs us USD40K, super urgent expedited orders which kept me running the whole day.
I know i should be grateful as i have stabil and steady job but...sometmes, i do fee like resigning and go back to college or take up simple non-challenging job. Forget career growth. All i want is peace of mind. haha. i wish.
Workspace can be a battle ground sometimes. Office politic is a must and we must know who to talk to and when. Timing is an important factor. We do sincerely hope for the best for our friends (if any). However, personal growth in terms of money and persnal space usually reigns above everything. Cynical remarks and sarcasm, can also be found in the office directory and i do pity newcomers who get these w/o having their bullet-proof vest being nurtured and matured accordingly.
Talking about sarcasm, lots of people in the office forget that office means a place to work and hence professional etiquette complies. Well, not for me, having continued this write-up on Tuesday, Nov 11th, i am wearing shirt and jeans and my fave Adidas sneakers. Why? There was lots of running yesterday and i am expecting the same today. Well, it didn't happen anyway. My lady boss used to subtly remind us that professional attire is preferred but having a bunch of deaf subordinates, she gave up. We do dress-up to according to occasions though. Same goes to verbal conversations and speech where broken English is abundant and we do sometimes talk in made-up foreign language. However, when it comes to manners, well, it's up to individual. Hence, as guidelines, below are samples of largely used offending words and the substitutes:
Number 1
TRY SAYING: I think you could use more training.
INSTEAD OF: You don't know what the f___ you're doing.
Number 2

pointless ramblings..
On another subject, it is hard to imagine left alone to prevent our loved ones from falling into the same situations (usually bad) we've been before. We can only hope for the best. Moreover, if it involves the whole family feelings and not wanting anyone to get hurt. My niece is getting married this June and whether she likes it or not, i hate her-groom -to-be for a reason. Physical attractiveness and financial status are not being questioned here but i do deteste him for a reason. It might not be fair since i've never even met him but hey, maybe i'm just being over-protective. Considering my sensitive eldest sister feelings, i have promised not to say another thing and just go woth the plan i guess. So, i'm cancelling Raya 2009 in Sabah and will go back on the June 4th or 5th for her wedding.
On a lighter note, yay, F.R.I.E.N.D.S movie is on the way. Damn, the gang told me waay later as the news actually came out in July 2008. Here's the excerpt from Dailymail:
Aniston and the gang set to return for big-screen blockbuster
The highly anticipated film production of TV series Friends has finally been given the go-ahead, MailOnline has learned.Cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation 'within the next 18 months', according to insiders.
The actors have been inspired by the recent success of Sex And The City, which recently hit cinemas worldwide.
A source said: 'Jennifer, Courteney and the rest of the cast are keen to reprise their roles, under the right circumstances.
'The box office success of Sex And The City has really got their wheels spinning about how a Friends film could be just as big, if done right.
'Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions.'
Talk of a reunion for the loveable gang from New York's Central Perk has been bandied around Hollywood ever since the show aired its final season in 2004.
While Cox, 44, LeBlanc, 40, Perry, 39, Kudrow, 45 and Schwimmer, 41, were believed to be keen on the reunion, Aniston, 39, is believed to have dragged her heels.
Now, however, she is keen to move ahead with the project, which will be produced by Warner Bros.
The source added: 'As the biggest star of the Friends franchise, Jennifer can't help but look at what's happened with Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sex And The City film and be a little jealous.
'What's held back a Friends movie so far is that people were worried that Jennifer had simply become too famous to play Rachel again.
'But the truth is that Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she'd love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again.
'She says she and Courteney have already talked this summer about what they want out of a Friends movie, and if deals can be made with them, everything else can fall into place rather quickly.
'It really comes down to money, and I don't think Jen has a problem with all of the Friends getting huge paydays for the movie.
'In that sense, it's Sex And The City all over again. There's no movie unless you can reunite the whole cast and keep them all happy financially.'
The Sex And The City film, which had series star Sarah Jessica Parker as a producer, is headed for a global box office total of well over $300million.
That number exceeds all pre-release expectations and insiders say US studio Warner Bros is now mining its recent library of TV hits for other projects ready for the movie treatment.
The source told MailOnline: 'Friends is at the top of the list of properties that can do the same level of business Sex And The City did.'
Since going their separate ways, the actors have stayed in the entertainment sphere, with varying success.
Aniston, who depicted lead character Rachel, has starred in a series of romantic comedies but her professional endeavours have been overshadowed by romantic upheaval.
Following her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005, she endured a reportedly volatile relationship with actor Vince Vaughn before recently embarking on a romance with musician John Mayer.
Courteney Cox, who depicted neurotic Monica, enjoyed relative success with her TV show Dirt, where she played a ruthless tabloid media mogul.
Lisa Kudrow, who co-starred as ditzy folk singer Phoebe, continues to work in film - but mostly lower profile independent ones.
Matt Le Blanc has laid low in Hollywood since the failure of his Friends spin-off series Joey, passing on TV and film roles to focus on his home life.
David Schwimmer, aka Ross, now seems most comfortable playing the role of movie director. He recently directed hit comedy Run Fatboy Run.
Well, exciting right? (for fans laaa)

A Beautiful Day
How time flies and as a cyberfriend told me today, i should go a knock my head on the wall. I keep forgetting things and even the names of my friends. As we all should cherish our family, dont forget friends who further enrich our lives. I have few friends who don't judge me and even know my past mistakes (and mishaps) and yet act like, i am just being me.
Having said that, most people would say it's junk emails but i do receive tons of non-work related emails in my inbox everyday. I am so grateful for it for not only i am being updated on current issues (melamines, halal), not to mention latest Gossips (i do get em from E! though), i also know that i am being remembered! I do also almost everyday receive inspiration with beautiful background music or views, but, there's one particular email that is saved from the mass-deletion, as follows:
We might not meet, we might not chat,
but we would still be friends,
better don't forget that..
Times would go passing by,
changes would come with you and I,
our lives destiny would shape,
as with time progress we make.
Distance would take us away miles & miles,
we might not even see each others smiles.
We might not help each other; but still let not,
our friendship wither..
The magic of friendship would call me
and I would miss you then
thinking..
together we would be when . . ...
nice isn't it?
Oh yes, for those who have asked the theme of my blog, nope, none. I would write, paste, post whatever i like, i wish and whenever i have the mood.
Cheers!!!

Beautiful Journey
Beautiful Journey: to both Ida who just get engaged last 2 weeks and to Zara whose last Friday was her last day in Transwater.
One had one of her happiest day in her life and the other spent her lunch with colleagues whom she has worked with for the past year.
I believe both of them has chosen their path wisely despite the hurdles they faced (or may face) in future.
Ida, for instance, is currently undergoing a moment in which the Malay calls "Darah Manis". Non, the type that Count Dracula would love but it's only a saying. As what people say, "bertunang" @ engagement period is filled with its own tests & dugaan bak kata orang melayu. Macam2 ada. It's common for engagements to break for oh so many reasons and it will raise few eyebrows if one decides to drag the engagement for too long. How long is too long, well, it entirely up to the couple, family and theie immediate circle of society they live in.
For me, it's all entirely up to you babe. If the love being nurtured is based on mutual trust, unconditional love and harmony, why shouldn't it last?
On the other hand, Zara will face new challenges in her life and may she has a smooth sailing career movement. She'll be joining a Government dept and i believe some (maybe most?) people believe that being a government servant ensures good life prospects and secured retirement. I hope they're right and i do see some good examples (a bad ones too!!). As for me who work in private sector all my life, i reserved my comment as i've never been there and i've had my fair share of dealing with lazy, ignorant and arrogant gov servants. But, i did meet some nice peeps who deserved all the perks being a gov servants and i truly respect them for the positiove attitudes that the rest of their colleagues should follow. Whatever it is, good luck to Zara and remember, we're still your friends.
Well, another creation of scrapblog from me to Ida..enjoy...
