Happy Mother's Day

Janna has spoken! yeah yeah..it's been some time since i write in the much abandoned blog..here goes some of the highlight of my life for the past 2-3 months (nuthin much interesting ey?..hahaha)

ok..finally, we had our SMSSBAT OF 94 reunion in Malacca after months of planning. I am not gonna details here since it's all plastered all over my FB. But, it was nice seeing those people especially the lepak-ing session sampai pagi. laki/bini/anak dok bilik, kami dok berborak sampai hantu laut pun dah menguap..

There are happenings in office with some people leaving, joining, promotions, re-organisation of Valve Division, re-structuring or branch office, re-designation, etc etc. At the end of the day, it's just work and nothing else. I just spend my Wesak holiday yesterday meeting (work related, duhh) on the handover of ECO accounts to ECO Team. I will be handling EMO accounts in sabah/sarawak, here comes the not-so-notorious zatul. :P..foyo...

Just last weeks, my grandmother passed away. May peace be with her. Al-Fatihah. She was 90++? 100++? we couldn't tell since the records those days were not reliable. Anyways, i went back to Keningau for a week with my Muar-based sister. It was a refreshing trip not only going through new way to Keningau via Kimanis, it was one of the time i managed to catch a glimpse of our family's past. I have few question answered and i like it.

I've been trying to arrange for a reunion/mini gathering of ex-YS students but to no avail, at the moment. I will try again. It seems like everyone's is supa-busy. Another mini-gath is on the way for all ex-trasnwaterians and existing staffs for suka2 purpose. i like! see u guys on 5th June.

Mommy dearest.. (on the left) & my MIL (on the right)

So, Happy mother's day to all mothers in the world. I have wished my mom and mom-in-law this morning. There will be a Mother's Dayt celebration in my Kampung on 23rd May form am to PM with activities such as aerobic, telematch, football match, cooking contests, some cake cutting event in the evening and gift giveouts to all mothers (of course form their children la). Maybe i shall be looking for one and send to my mom all the way from here.

Saturday - Feb 28th.

Wah...semangat. woke up early for the paintball thingy eventhough hubby not here (3D2N @ LUmut for company outing...damn!!!).

It all begun on Thurday, 26th Feb, 2pm. Luke skywalker from Paintball Valley@ Taman Pertanian Malaysia came and gave us briefing on the paintball session we're gonna have on sat.

So, Jay picked me up at the bus stop along the Fed Hiway nearby the Setia Jaya Komuter Station. Easier than driving all the way to my flat. A good thing though, by the time i reached his previous 2nd half, i am already all warmed up and charged!! anyway, so sorry for my tardiness..heheh...bangun awal but the tv cartoon show was good lar...muahahah...

so, off we go to pick up Peter @ the office and sprinted to Taman Bukit Cerakah. It was about 8++am when we reached there and most of the people are already there. But hey, the park is supposedly opens at 9am right? then why ask people to come at 8? Ya lar...we all know Malaysians are so typical ..but statistically we all do arrive 1/2 hour late than the specified date..but rarely 1 hour..and pity those who really come before 8am...what we can do? Ask them who came later pay by themselves la (the entrance fee)..happened to Kumar & En Rafran (maybe they can claim later?)..or if the journey is jauuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh....call them 15 mins after the designated time. and after 30mins WITHOUT any response or valid reason ("on the way" is qite valid la), leave em la..what..think other people got nothing else better to do ka? Like last time when i was the OC for the Teambuilding @ Perak, there was 1 girl who's tardiness was so irritating...30mins after 8am, she was "on the way"..after 15mins interval still no sign of her and there wasn't any , at least, sms of her whereabouts..i already setup mymind and was discussing with the driver to leave her when she showed up!! talking about manners....urghh....

anyway, we managed to go in at..i forgot to look at the time and got on a bus...vroom vroom and behold, the HQ of Paintball Valley @ Taman Pertanian Malaysia. This place is a homebase for DELTA group and also for Rejimen 66. They have 7 paintball fields and we had the opportunity to play at Arcadia, Scorpion's Nest and...the filed where we had to take control of the tower for 5-minutes. haha. We started with breakfast first and of course, cannot expect the food to be of restaurant or atleast mamak rest level la..this is junle for god's sake and roti, sardines, baked beans, kaya, jam are good enough already. what were you expecting? French toast? Then after waiting, final briefing about the rules and safety (which will be forgotten in the fields when the adrenaline rushed in) and groups were segregated. I was in Bravo group along with Lokman, Faizol, Fiza, Yatie, Syed Idris, and ..hmm..who else...

 The first Game:

Arcadia field...similar to those we see in the padang ie. padang utara, subang, but with uneven jungle floor, and cardboards as bunkers..Alpha vs Bravo and i didn't know the enemy was in fornt of me coz i didn't recognize him (Nik)..hahaha...buduh..i was shot at the right wrist by Kamales. My gun was jammed ...damn...i think Alpha won. Each side got flag and to win the team has to raise the opponent's team..

 2nd Game:

Bravo vs C..what was C name again? this time @ scorpions's nest. This was where you got the jungle feel. Of course there were bunkers. The best parts were:

1. Syed, lokman and i were bersembunyi behind the same bunker when the bullets came like monsoon rain. haha.

2. Yatie's gun was jammed and the marshall tried to fix it and gave Lokman a headshot indtead..haha

3. During both times, my gun was jammed @ out of gas and so does 4 others...how to play? mencik!!! C group got the flag, i think laa...i saw nafisah behind the bunker and her tudung gave her away...but cannot get a clean shot since they were saved by the net..cesss...

4. During the above, the Marshall angrily shouted at the C group for firing when our group were down due to technical problem..azhar kot? hehhe (panas panas!!!)

In this game, the flag will be put at the centre and both teams has to grab it first come first serve.

 3rd game:

Bravo vs Delta

This was where we all had to try to capture the tower and hold it for 5 minutes to win. I was running towards the tower and after 50m from the post, my pellet container fell!!!! bodoh kan...so what it's not like i can kutip the pellets..so i went back to the HQ and got another canister..one of the marshall gave a stupid remark " TU LAH..LARI2 LAGI...KAN DAH JATUH" oi b@$#@#....memang la lari..then waht? jalan???? my reply was sumthing like " APAHAL PLAK...ORG YG BUAT MAINTENANCE TAK BETUL LA..TAK KETAT KAN CANISTER"...senyap after that...buduh...

this time Hanizah's group was aggresive..and yet we managed to capture the tower...after sometime i was tired...couldn't find a good spot and since Syed has consumated all his pellets, i gave mine to him...and relax kat post...nga ng nga......

Then, finish...i shower and lunch la after that...maybe everybody was eager to leave or simply tired...but there was no closing and the group photo didn't consists of everyone..next time, pls do this..very2 important...why? then group's objectives are not achieved la...arrive as a team, leave as a team..but what can i say..maybe everyone was simply tired...

and i pulak regret coz x managed to take photos of more interesting things, people, places during the games...blur kot masa tuh...

anyway, thanks to Transwater Management and Kamales for organising such outings...if there's next time, i urged others to join...but not me kot..hehe..not my forte la...kalay Skytrex lain cerita (also in Bukit Cerakah), abseling, panjat2, wall climbing, trekking, bring it on bebeh!!!

sapa nk tgk photos of the place, google la..

Happy Birthday My Angel!!

Sofiya is 2 today and I can’t help but feel happy yet sad at the same time.

She can’t even crawl yet let alone walk. Her grip strong, yes, showing strong hand and fingers but it also shows that she is just like a 10 months old baby when she’s already 2!!!

She understands bye-bye and wave when she has to eventhough Wall-E can perform a smoother waving movement.

Her steps are getting firm and both legs were no longer wobbly like before but toddlers her age should be running around like nobody’s business and she could only do it when she’s in the walker.

I am happy that she started calling out to me even though the only sounds that she makes are “aaaaaaa”, “dididididididi” and mostly “ wuuuuwuuuuwuuu”.

Yes I am happy but I know I am angry.

Yet, I love her so much like other mothers love their children and if, she is fated to have her development delayed or even stays like this forever, I still love her deeply.

Feelings of mothers who has OKU status children are a bit different from mothers with normal kids. I know because my firstborn is alhamdulillah normal. It feels like i want to shelter her forever and as to my son, i want him to explore the world.

Even though Sofiya Global Development Delay level is very2 minor, don’t ever2 say “takde apa2 la. Lambat jek tuh” We do know the reality of children with Cerebral Palsy. If they improve, good and it may come waaaaaay later. But to those unfortunate, the time may not come at all. So, the best things you can say will be “ sabar, nih semua dugaan tuhan”, “ada hikmah di sebaliknya” , “keep seeing the doctors. Don’t miss the appointments”,etc. The best one yet I get is “you’re lucky. God loves either one of you (me and hubby) or both of you and test you this way”. I can’t help but also think that, maybe this is my redemption of whatever bad things I did in the past? Well then, no pun intended, I am lucky coz I am forgiven kot!! :D

….and please in my daughters’ case, stop giving free unwanted advise on pursuing the case with hospital WITHOUT showing how, why, who, when and what. I have no clue where to start and I don’t need people to confuse me further. Not that I want to sue the hospital people but like I said, I have my doubt. Doubts are never good. Must clear it.

Anyway, Happy 2nd Birthday Dalili Sofiya. You are loved and we will face whatever may come together including mommy being zombie while waiting for you to sleep at 3 am.

Line Dance - Arabian Eyes (Demo)

I am analyzing this steps and learning alsola. Can i integrate these to create steps for Makhluk tuhan paling seksi??? woooooooooooooooooooo......

A refreshing trip to Malacca

ok. Off to Malacca we went for Nafisah's wedding at Sg Udang. My instruction was : Lookout for Alor Gajah's exit as it i nearer to Sg Udang". The moment i opened my eyes, we were at Ayer Keroh Toll gate. Dont get me wrong. I love Ayer Keroh but helloooooooooo....."There was no Alor Gajah exit. only Simpang Empat!!!!" ok. forgiven. My hubby's not familiar at all with the southern area.

Nafisah was clad in a yellow baju pengantin and damn girl..u looked gorgeous. but err....i've warned you not to smile broadly like that when you see us. Just smile sheepishly. Very not good in following instruction , ey?

anyway, have a blessed wedded life and Azreem, you're one lucky man.

Next plan was, Burnt Fish dinner (ikan bakar la dowww). Planned in Umbai and hence, it was only logical to move to Malacca centre. I knew it was CNY holiday but hey, takkan la not even one room takde. So, my luck, we spotted a decent hotel in Melaka Raya plaza area, a block away from the infamous Plaza...erm...i forgot..behind Melaka Parade la senang.

The name is Queenspark Hotel and the rate is not bad at all. 2 queens-sized beds at RM250 jek..public holiday of course mark-up ma...go here for the hotel info. Tukar baju segala yang patut, it was time to meet up with the gang already. So, we convoy to the infamous Ikan Bakar area in Umbai. So, as usual, as long as the bill is on somebody else's tab, we just eat all we could!! Picking the fish was easy as i didn't have to!! it is my weaklink (ewaahh) and i got the others to dothe honour. bla-bla, it's dinner time. But wait..where's yatie? dah balik. ok. gone. the most VVIP: hafizee. OMG!!! not here yet???? ok, few phone calls later, he managed to find the place. uh, did i mentioned we anxiously & excitedly wait for him because it was his treat? nganganga...while waiting and snapping stupid pics here and there, i felt a drop of water. wait, can't be raining because of a drop. But one look at the horizon, it's gonna rain. 15 minutes later, i knew it!! toldya...it was raining and while people were scrambling to get inside, we managed to secure the boat...waaaaa..so special one....except takut aku jatuh dalam air paya tuh coz the "bridge" looked..insecure..

makan2 and said goodbye 3 hours later, i was determined to visit places i've never been before. So, we drove around the city, eyes wide open for CNY night view in Malacca and damn, we missed the jaywalking street. Nvmd. nnt mesti gue shopping lagik.I love the view of the lanterns, people sighseeing and sigh of westerners lepaking at coffeeshop.

later, at 12midnight, we stopped by the Malacca Cruise we saw earlier. The line was ...snaking, and long, and i was sleepy...anyhow, dear hubby & son pujuk2 and i gave in. But hey. i am glad they did as the view fom the cruise is totally different compared to view from standing on the bridge, roadside , or swimming in the Malacca river. The houses along the river were enchanting and i could only wonder how much the investment was. I think, it's a wise one since it really highlight one of Malacca beauty and night activity for the whole family (i am not talking about those familyin the house lar..dont care what they do la.)

The next day was embraced with more excitement as i saw a certain hill one the way to Umbai the day before. But wait, must get adrenaline rush first and i think this one is a kenot-miss-one!!! Malacca's very own Taming Sari Tower. With RM10/adult & RM5/child, you can view 360deg of Malacca (kalau rabun , pakai spec la, rugi taw). The platform will rotate 360deg upwards slooooooowwwly and will stay rotating at the top for few minutes and go downwards again (yela..mana lagi??). It was worth it and i managed to get the video throughout the whole interesting yet made-me-screamed-kenot-feel-my-legs experience.

Next, if i couldn't fulfill my destiny as real pirate, naik kapal pun jadikla. This ship is non other than Fleur De La Mar "It was not ordinary trip. In 1512 flagship “Fleur De La Mar” of Portuguese squadron sailed form Malacca Sultanate placed on south-west coast of Malacca peninsula but never reached the land.". I tried google but the search came out with no satisfactory result. How i wish the whole history while i had the chance. No wonder i cant find...it's not Fleur De La Mar, it's Flor De La Mor. wikipedia here.

It's a very interesting tour since they also highlight about Panglima Awang. What i didn't know was, he was actually only a slave aka hamba. Some say he's a Sumatran, a Malay, hailed form Cebu but Enrique of Malacca was a native of Malacca City. Hence, knowing Malacca was the tradecenter for SEA back then, it was only natural that Malay was the lingua-franca and widely spoken. By the way, ability to converse in Malay does not mean we're Malay. So, maybe he's not even Malay? I remember he was also said to be an interpreter. apa2 la kan. kalau nak cerita memang panjang. try wikipedia or buku sejarah la senang.

Ok. Remember i mentioned about a certain hill i saw on the way to Umbai? yeap, St John's hill. I also don't know how to illustrate the way ut maybe google map can help. I've been to St Paul's countless times and St John's to me a new, non-crowded place. When i reached there, it was around 1700hrs and there were people jogging uphill. Nevermind that. Only a handful of people actually visit the area at that point of time and i took my own sweet time examining the rocks, whatevernot. I kep looking for the view to the sea but alas, nowhere in plain sight. Yes, you could actually pretend to be Dutch and lookout to the sea through the trees and watch out for Bugis and Portuguese invasion.

Our next destination was obviously the Eyes of Malaysia in Malacca. Read it right as there is another Eyes of Malacca. You can see the local wheels while cruising and yes,it is rideable. hehe. They have few other games in the compound but didn't manage to visit all.

It was raining when we board the much-talked-about Eyes of Malaysia and i couldnt see a thing clearly. So.no point taking photos also. The best part of taking the ride at night was i lessen my OMG factor by 15%. I am terrifiedof height and yet, i wanna ride all those, wall-climbing an then scream my heart out later. kua kua kua..

The ride cost about ...RM 10 kot...

ow, did i mentioned Malaysians must produce NRIC to get the special price for the locals? Yes, off by 50% hence the Tower & Eyes will cost RM20 in the absence of NRIC with exceptians to kids who dont have to produce any ID. The parents already did maa...

We wanted to stay one more night but since we had no reservation done and it was CNY makan besar night, we might as well forget about it. We did try a few hotels though and damn, it was marked up like nobody's business and the names of the hotels also sound like what aa...urm not known la senang.... All the renowned and reliable hotels were fully booked except apartments.

Tired, we slept in the car at a R&R and only to wkae up next morning and voila..the HIghway Hotel stood majestically in front of us...awat la x perasan...sempat lagi singgah & menhabiskan duit kat Nilai 3 sat..
