My [mad] twin

While my twin was keeping herself busy by cleaning up the bedroom (out of a sudden), i was amused by Aznil's antique in Tom-Tom Bak. He sounded more like Indons when in reality he was trying to converse in Sabah slang. haha. mana ada bah kamiurang cakap mcm tuh. bikin gali. Sia heran jugak. kanapa kdg2 orang bilang kami cakap macam Indon when clearly we don't!! Anyway, this week show were filled by sabahan children and i wonder why. Maybe ASTRO did put all the applications from Sabahans, chose the best, and decided to call them all in for 1 show. We had Tarian Bajau (I think la), alaaa...yg pilipin punya tuh bah...we had storyteller and we also had a funny lil boy who spoke in sabah slang the entire show. bravo!!!

Talking about show, i managed to watch The Other Boleyn Girl.


























It's a story set in Tudor England and it involves the royalties. The casts? see above posters..ahaks. Boleyn Families are of Low-class level of the Royal Family and hence, the girls can only be either Lady-In-waiting (PA /Personal Maid) or be a mistress. It's about a truce between two sisters in capturing King Henry VIII's Heart in which Anne Boleyn (believed to be the eldest, not George) managed to but later only to be executed for having an incestuous affair with George. Now, Anne was portrayed as an ambitious lady who wants the Queen's throne. However, how would so since Queen Catherine (Catherine of Aragon) was there and then, the Queen's favorite Lady-in-waiting as the mistress. Somewhere own the storyline and history, Anne managed to marry King Henry and later executed. Mary? well, she married a commoner. Her misrable life is depicted in another novel by Philippa Gregory is a 2004 "The Queen's Fool". It's good to note that Queen Mary I was a daughter by King Henry and Queen Katherine while Queen Elizabeth was a daughter by King Henry and Anne Boleyn. Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon, and Catherine Carey, Lady Knollys, were the offspring of either King Henry or William Carey with Mary Boleyn. so, we'll never know!!!

Ok, now my fave kinda movie - The War of The Dragon.







Jason Behr starred in this Korean movie and i like it on the basis that it based on a dragon folklore. haha. Korean Dragon are supposed to have 4 toes. Legend has it that a Chinese Dragon was walking towards south when it started to lose its toes on by one. Hence, Chinese Dragon has 5 toes, Korean Dragon has 4 toes and Japanese Dragon has 3 toes. which poster do you like more? i like the 1st and 3rd. The first looks mysterious and rather more like a poster for online game. The third looks very movie-ish. the rest? looks like cheap movies. The stunt and the graphics in this movie are ok and you wont really notice the weirdness of a serpent slithering thru the city. Even the flight direction of the debris looks real. Watch it.


Oh yes. Jason Behr is the guy from Roswell in which i hated him. But, abocve pix, nmpk cute plak.

On other subject, i accidentally came across Par-Boiled Rice or Beras Rebus. My other half was supposed to buy a kampit of beras of 5kg and my instruction was "do not buy anything above RM25.00". So, he was kinda looking for a beras in which harganya is exactly RM25.00/5KG. When he couldn't find it, he took the one with price tag closer to RM25.00, which was RM20.00. I'M sure that there are many other white rice available in the supermarket but forgetting that my dear husband don't even know how to cook rice, i should have known better. He thought that all rice is of the same type and he bought Par-Boiled Rice. I've never eaten or cook any. so, i surfed the net and couldn't find any special notice on how to cook the beras. Instead, i found out that this type is quite nutritious and in between Brown rice and white rice. perfect choice. nvmd. I've noticed that 2 pots of white rice IS NOT the same as the same amount of Parboiled rice. But it tastes nice and really2 in between of brown rice, Basmathi and white rice. Minus the sticky parts. Good for nasik goreng. my adventure with Parboiled rice has not ended and to be continued.

My twin cleaned the windows at 2am yesternight and changed the curtains all together. mad isn't she? She's kinda in the "spring-cleaning mood & mode" and will throw away anything that comes in the way.

well, let her be. At least, something is done around the house.

A letter to ASTRO

Dear Astro

Thank you for fixing my reception yesterday morning, 2a.m. I accidentally turned on the TV and voila, it's there. I know ASTRO team has been working very2 hard to fix my problem since Tuesday, April 22nd 2008.

I know it a small problem to you when you and your technician keep saying i may have put in the card wrongly. Yeah, maybe considering i don't get the chance to further my studies until MASTER and PHD. I don't even know what i'm writing about.so, there's a big possibility that i don't even know which way is the right way to insert an ASTRO SMART CARD.

Mr ASTRO Directors, you see, my new GOLD SMART CARD was just fine last weekend. I could even enjoy AF6 Concert and all. I started to not be able to watch anything since last Tuesday and missed my CSIs. But never mind. I have your hotline no which is very innovative and friendly. Not to mention, your customer service officers are very hot in demand considering the time taken to answer my calls from Tuesday till Saturday midnite, all day long. The system in ASTRO must be very2 effective since i have to repeat my case all over again whenever i managed to speak to one of your lovely CS officer. Not to mention, the complaints thru ASTRO website is left unanswered. I wonder, f i were to upgrade my system thru website, it would get your attention very2 quickly.

Mr ASTRO finance Director, i know. i have received one SMS from ASTRO saying my account is overdue by RM60 and i believe there is more. But, since i was not able to get any signal for 5 days, can i get a rebate? it's ok if ASTRO not able to give it to me since i am willing to pay for nothing. it's ok. Or did you do that on purpose? cutting down my service for 5 days for not paying on time? ooh, i am very2 sorry. I bet CELCOM would be laughing away this month since my bill would be huge. It's ok Mr ASTRO , i am very2 generous this month and that's why i am willing to call the same number over and over again until not even one officer can help solve my problem and rather preferred to say "maybe you have inserted your gold smart card wrongly".

Dear ASTRO team, do you know your voices sounded sooooo good when i put you on the speakers? yeah, i was taking a leak and i couldn't help it. I was afraid to be put on hold for longer. Yes. i must save for the next call to ASTRO.

ok. i must stop now. I must go check my phone bill so i can leverage payment to ASTRO.

A statement from Nanny McPhee. A magical story.yes, it was already aired aeons ago but..i just watched it today in HBO...haha..ketinggalan zaman tul. Adam sure needs her!!! hmm..magical yes, but why she keeps getting younger towards the end of the movie? what is the significant? i don't get it. In the beginning of the story, she was fat and turned out to be so much like Giselle bundchen in th end. why? well, no time to think about it. I also managed to catch Truman in HBO. I kinda hate the story since the ending has no ending. what happen to him after he went out of the..err...studio? where? why? what about? i hate movies that will leave me questioning..it was supposed to be entertaining, at least for me. If i want more riddles and questions, i'd get them in my everyday life.
Like, why do o stop my diets before i even started em? haha. that's why i am very picky of what i am watching. I love CSI. Maybe becoz it provides answers in almost every episode. hmm..Steel magnolias next in HBO...nk play game laa before i go to sleep.

Today is Maulidurrasul and as i tyoed maulidurrasul in google search box, this went :http://www.geocities.com/traditionalislam/MaulidurRasul.htm. Very informative and refreshing knowledge. Tmorrow, Adam's school will be celebrating Maulidurrasul. Below are some few points from the site.

KESIMPULAN

i) Menyambut hari kelahiran Rasulullah disabitkan dengan dalil-dalil syara’.

ii) Disunatkan memperingati maulidurrasul pada bila-bila masa, terlebih utama lagi sempena hari kelahirannya.

iv) Menzahirkan kegembiraan dan kesyukuran atas sebesar-besar nikmat dan rahmat Allah iaitu kelahiran baginda dengan mengerjakan amalan-amalan kebaikan.

v) Menyambut hari kebesaran ini membawa kepada mencintai nabi dan mencintai Allah.

vi) Mendapat ganjaran yang besar di dunia dan akhirat bagi mereka yang menyambutnya.

Thus, while Malaysia is facing it's yet biggest turmoil in history, we all shall sit down and menghayati makna Maulidurrasul kali ini. Sambutan kelahiran nabi junjungan Muhammad SAW mungkin akan memberi ilahm dan cahaya di dalam keadaan sekarang. Insyaallah.

Coincidently, i found a book while browsing for additional books for Adam. something related to "melayu" and possible answers why malays are facing with their downfall. Will sure to grab it later.!!

Taking about Adam, he is getting his exam paper back, gradually. First the maths, 76/100. Since his conduct of english is...err...a bit lower than minimal, he lost marks where english comprehension matters. "More", "Less", puzzled him so much till he lost good 20 marks. The next day, English. i was startled he got 82/100 in English. He lost marks in spelling where he spelled the word "she" as "shi". haha..i couldn't help but laugh. Although it might be his very first exam in standard 1, i am concerned of his capability. He hates going to bookstore let alone reading books. He even cried when i coached him in doing additional works. Am i to strict and pushy? some people encouraged me to send to those mental arithmetics classes. hmm...i have to think about it. But..the 3rd day, the science result was out and with 44/100, i was closed to change into a she-hulk version. As i went through his science paper, i realised it is not his fault. He couldn't understand the instruction. For instance, "I have ____ eyes". He wrote down "eyes" in the blank space. The question was: count the number of the body parts. He knew what eyes are, fingers, hand, foot. I am puzzled tho, since he knew his body parts but still wrote "hands" in the space with arrow towards the "hair". I guess he was out of space at that moment. He's handicapped due to his poor english conduct and i am to blamed right to the core. He may be strong in some other areas but i think when it comes to the details, he might get lost. Not to mention his comprehension and english. Tuition , anyone?

The Hive

exactly at this moment, "The Hive" is on air - Star Movies. I am a BIG fan of creatures-on-rampage kinda style of movie -NOT!!!!.
I was pissed off with the intro + ngeri + scared. It starts with a woman in a certain kitchen and her baby is resting in the buaian. The baby was distracted by something and the mummy was curious. Then, she realised that a big hive and millions of killer ants were literally eating her house. She grabbed the baby and ran and ......she tripped and being eaten alive by the ants...duhhhh...what disgusts me is, the ants ate the baby too and her last cry echoed thru the nite (in the movie la)...i hate the director, the film crew, the producer...can't they think of something else like maybe the ants are killing adults , not the baby? the baby was sooooo cute...and i can't bear the thot of imagining the baby being eaten alive and she actually cried....huhuhuhuhu....

mcm nak demam. dah 4 hari aku sakit kepala tp aku tahan sebab masih buli tahan. tp mlm ni rasa lembik sgt. ni pun blog dr atas katil sambil baring sambil tgk CSI Vegas. hUH...mmg best. CSI mmg fave aku ranking from CSI Vegas, Miami then NY. Maybe sebab Grissom & team on air dulu kot. Grissom is so cool, Catherine symbolises women's power, Sarah is genius at its best, Warrick is macho and Stokes gives the impression of a brat who worked hard enuff to be where he is today. and the love story btw Gil & Sarah? romantic in its own way. "This is about brain &brawn" is the comment for tonight as Sarah thinks Hannah planned the murder and did it. wutever. argh. sakit kepala. mcm mana nk baik klu i can't even calm this messy head of mine. when my head is cloudy, i could even wear baju terbalik pegi kerja. tgk nih ha. klu org kat pantry x tegur on that faithful morning, i wud be wearing baju terbalik for longer.ok.out
